Mr.Groundhog.
Down below the earth.
Out pops the Groundhog.
What will he predict?
Here he comes out of his hole.
He’s looking for his shadow.
Will there be more snow?
Or will there be an early spring?
We are hoping for an early spring.
Yay! It’s an early spring according to Punxsutawney Phil!

Out pops Mr. Groundhog.
Will there be six more weeks of snow?
Or will there be an early spring?
He only weighs 10 pounds.
Groundhogs are small furry animals.
Groundhogs are also called Woodchucks.
Sometimes the groundhog is right and sometimes wrong.
If it is sunny there will be a shadow.
If it is cloudy there will not be a shadow.
Groundhogs live in huge burrows.

Out pops Mr. Groundhog.
He only weighs ten pounds.
Will he see his shadow?
Will he bring an early spring?
Or will he bring more snow?
February 2nd Phil will tell you.
Ask him if you must.
Or will he run away?
I wish for an early spring!
However, there might be six more weeks of winter.
