This is my paint roller snowman.  I hope you like it.  Enjoy my story ahout a magical snowman.

One wintery cold day, Kaytlene woke up and looked out the window and saw that it was snowing. She ran downstairs put on her purple snowpants, pink jacket, black boots, her gloves, and toque.                                                                                                                                               

She ran outside and made a snowman. She forgot the clothes and other things for the snowman.  She ran inside and got the buttons for the eyes, a candy for the nose, a ruler for the mouth, and of course a black hat. She stood back and looked at the snowman. Kaytlene thought  she saw the  snowman  smiling at  her. “Wow I think the snowman moved!” exclaimed Kaytlene. Kaytlene went inside for breakfast.                                       

When Kaytlene went outside again there was no snowman.”Oh my gosh,” remarked Kaytlene. ”Boo,” exlaimed the snowman putting her hands on Kaytlene’s shoulders.  “I’m going to call you Britney.  I knew I saw you move!” exclaimed Kaytlene. “Sure,” replied Britney.   “Lets play? Sure why not?” announced Kaytlene.

“Lets have a snowball  fight!” Kaytlene made a tunnel and Britney made a tunnel. “I’m ready!” called Britney.”Me too!” replied Kaytlene. So they both made 60 snowballs and that took them up to 6:00 to 7:35! They were ready to start. So they threw a snowball together and they smashed together. Then Kaytlene threw a snowball and got Britney right in the face.Then Britney got so mad that she got ice tears and threw a snow ball right in Kaytlene face. “Ooooowww!”shouted Kaytlene. Then Kaytlene got mad too, so they both got mad. They both were mad.  They both quit the snowball fight.           

”Now lets have some  hot coca and some cookies?” asked Kaytlene. “Sure! Why not?” replied Britney.

“I’ll be right back with the cookies and hot coca,” declared Kaytlene.”Okay!.”explained Britney. So when Kaytlene got back she only got hot coca for her but not for Britney. She only got cookies for Britney.Then Britney replied , “I am MAGIC!”  Serious? asked Kaytlene.”Serious!” exclaimed Britney.” Then make me walk!” declared Kaytlene.”Okay!” Britney told Kaytlene. So she made her walk. “Cool!” ”Can you do it again?”asked Kaytlene.” No I can’t because I want to be with other kids yet okay?” asked Britney.”Okay,” replied Kaytlene. “Bye,”cried Britney. “Bye,”replied Kaytlene again.  

 

In math we are multiplying with all of the numbers. I thought it would be hard but it really is not.

It’s quite easy to multiply and so far I’m good at it!!!

We are doing the ones, twos, threes, fours, fives, sixes, sevens, eights, nines, tens, elevens and the twelves. I like to do the fives because I know how to count by fives the best!!!

The trick is you have to know how to count by the number you are multiplying by.  Anything times zero is zero. Here are some different things we did. 

We played with smarties to make arrays and then we wrote the math sentence. I also enjoy using the iPad to play different multiplication games.  This is a great site to learn your multiplication facts: http://www.multiplication.com/games.

In health, with Mrs. Cowie, we are learning about the 7 virtues.

I like health because we learning how to be kind, respectful, loyal, sharing, caring, trustworthy, tolerance, helpful, and other things. 

We have to write all the 7 virtues on piece of paper. We did some other things too. We als0 did a heart and we painted the heart.  

After we wrote KIND words around it. Here are some kind words:):):) Helpful, kind, loyal, respectful, tolerance, caring, sharing, trusworthy and more.     PICTURE:):):)

 

 

 

I love gym because my class is learning about gymnastics and we are learning about basketball. 🙂 Sometimes we play a basketball game for fun. 🙂 At the beginning of the year we were learning about volleyball, then we switched to basketball!! I like gym because we have fun and because we play a lot of games like Docter Dodgeball, Colour Monster, and Olly Olly Octopus. I hope you enjoy being active too 🙂

In Science we completed the unit called light and shadows.  We learned about convex and concave lenses.  In class, we did a shadow play. Some people did the Three Billy Goats Gruff. Others did the Gingerbread Man, The Three Little Reindeer, The Big Bad Santa, The Three Bears, and Little Red Riding Hood!  We made kaleidoscopes, periscopes, binoculars, and telescopes. It was really fun. We learned that a periscope allows you to see around corners and over walls. We learned that binoculars are just two telescopes stuck together and you can see really far with them too! We learned that kaleidoscopes have many different shapes, colours, and designs. We learned that telescopes make things look closer than they really are. Here are some pictures below.
