What Easter Means to Me?

Jesus went to a garden to pray.  Eleven disciples went with him. Judas had gone to tell the enemies of Jesus where to find him.  Some soldiers killed Jesus on the cross.  Jesus died for our sins.  In three days Jesus rose from the dead.  He stayed on Earth for forty days.  He taught people how they could do to heaven.  After the forty days on Earth he went back to heaven.  The soldiers that had killed Jesus were looking for him.  That is why we have Easter hunts.

We sing Eater songs at our grandparents house.  We will look for the Easter eggs that my parents have hidden.  We see who has the most chocolate eggs.  The one who has the most chocolate eggs is the winner.  We are going to Mexico this weekend.  In Mexico our grandparents have a farm.  They have a lot of calves.  I help them put the calves in a separate place.jesus

Easter means to me that Jesus was nailed on the cross for all of our sins. The roman soldiers nailed  Jesus on the cross and hurt him.  On Good Friday he rose  from the dead. Jesus died on 3:00 on Friday afternoon. Jesus had to carry a very heavy cross and fell several times carrying the heavy cross.  Joseph took Jesus to a tomb.  The next day on Sunday, Mary came to the temple.  Mary was talking to Jesus.

My Dad and Mom always hide the Easter eggs in our house. Once my brother’s Easter was in the garbage, my sisters was in the closet, and mine was in the bathroom.  My favourite part about Easter is my cousins are coming to my Grandma’s house. We always meet at my Grandma’s house and sing our Easter versus that we sang at the Easter concert. First we eat and play with our Easter treats that we found.  Sometimes we paint Easter eggs.  We get the eggs from our cousins farm. My Mom always pokes a hole with a needle so all the yoke will pour out and we use Maria’s crayons.

What Easter Means To Me?

To me Easter means something very important because that is the time when Jesus was nailed on the cross. When Jesus was nailed on the cross he was sweating blood and that means that Jesus died for our sins. Jesus was nailed on the cross on Good Friday and they took Jesus off the cross that afternoon. Jesus rose from the dead on Easter Day. On Good Friday the German people don’t play with our phones. After 40 days, Jesus went to Heaven, which is Ascension Day.

On Easter Day we go to church and after we go to our grandparents and have a large gathering. We have lunch and then all the children have to take turns saying a little verse and a song in front of our grandparents. After all the children have said their verses and songs, our dad hides a bag of chocolate for everyone and then they can go and find their bags. After the day is over we go home and my parents hide some bags for us at home, and we enjoy the chocolate!

To me Easter means something very important because Jesus was nailed on the cross. Jesus died for our sins. He died on Good Friday. They took Jesus off of the cross that afternoon. Jesus woke up on Easter Day.

On Easter my mom and dad go outside and hide chocolate and candy for everyone in our family.  Our parents tell us to go find our bags of chocolate and candy. For lunch we have mashed potatoes and meat. After lunch we have a gathering at our house and sing Easter songs. Sometimes my grandparents come over and they bring chocolate and candy too.  We give them a hug and say thank you. Sometimes we colour Easter eggs.

One morning I open my eyes.  I went outside to play. There was diamond on the ground.  I went inside and told my dad they is a diamond outside.  Anna was going for a walk.  She wondered what the diamond was doing on  our yard?  She suggests I should move it.  I started to move the diamond.   I disappeared and I ended up  in a SNOW GLOBE! Anna screamed,   “Where did you go?” She looked out the snow globe. Anna went inside to tell our mom I was trapped in the snow globe.  My mom screamed, “Get her out of there!”  “Okay!  Okay!  I will try to get her out,”  Anna exclaimed.  She got the snow globe.  She looked inside the snow globe.  She shook the snow globe.  Snow was fling around the snow globe.  Anna didn’t know what to do!  She left me outside in the snow globe!

While I was inside the snow globe I met Olaf.  He enjoyed playing games and he asked if I was interested in playing games with him. “Do you want to have hot chocolate,” asked Of7a1b71419e21da2aec20faf0daefed1laf ? “Why not,” I replied. We went into the house and got hot chocolate. We went into the house and got hot chocolate. I went back outside but I was still TRAPPED!!!!! I ran to the glass and looked out and saw my house. I saw my sister, Anna. She did not see me. I ran back into the house.  I asked Olaf if he had any tools. Olaf came back with some tools. I  grabbed a hammer and tried to break the glass open.  Olaf screamed, “What are you doing? If you break open the snow the glass and looked out and saw my house. I saw my sister. She did not see me. I ran back into the house.  I asked Olaf if he had any tools. Olaf came back with some tools. I grabbed a hammer and tried to break the glass open.  Olaf screamed, “What are you doing? If you break open the snow trapped in the snow globe I will melt.   I replied,  “I am trying to get out,” Olaf suggested we go sledding.  I told Olaf I needed to get out of the snow globe and see my family. “Are there any other tools that I could use,” I asked Olaf? Olaf  got more tools from the house. I tried to break the glass with a chain saw. I could not break the glass.  Anna came outside and remembered the diamond that I disappeared in.  Anna made a wish for me to no longer be trapped in the snow globe.  There was a large, “POOF!” I appeared right in front of the snow globe. Anna hugged me and we went inside. My mom and dad were happy that I was no longer in the snow globe and also gave me a hug. The End!!

If  I Lived in a Snow Globe

By: Peter

It was snowing.  Dad just got a cheque from work so we went shopping. We drove to the snow globe shop. I saw a DJ snow globe.  It had a note on it.  It said close your eyes and shake. So I closed my eyes and shook the snow globe. When I opened my eyes I was in a  snow globe. I felt lonely, but then I saw the  DJ.  I told the DJ how I got into the snow globe. I knew that he wasn’t listening, so I took his earphones off.  I told him again.  He still didn’t listen, so I took his guitar away.  He still didn’t  listen, so I took his shoes.  He still didn’t listen.   I was so angry.  I put on his earphones, guitar, and shoes.  He looked jealous.   I gave him all his equipment back and turned back.

On the floor I saw a newspaper.  I read it and it said, “WANTED!  ROCK BAND!”  I had an idea.  I went to the DJ.   I gave the DJ the newspaper.  He read it.  We took  all the equipment.  We took the my fancy Ferrari to the concert.  The DJ and I went to the change room.  We got ready for the concert.  We went on stage. We sang, “Twinkle, twinkle little star.” Everybody cheered when we were done. The DJ and I climbed back into the Ferrari to celebrate With the DJ’s family.  Well I was with the DJ’s family  I thought about how I miss my mom and dad.  we all sat down at the table and played connect four.   I went outside and felt sad.  The DJ came outside too.  we sat on a log.   I told the DJ how I was feeling.  The DJ suggested to help cheer me up that we go buy a monster truck from the Chevy dealership to race around the track.  We raced our monster trucks around the race track.  My monster truck beat the Dj’s about a mile and I won the race.  Unfortunately, the DJ’s monster truck broke down at the race track while I could see my parents still shopping at the store out of my snow globe.  I waited and waited until my  mom and dad wanted to go home.  I  could tell they were looking for me. They finally found me in the snow globe.  I tried to get out, but there was no way out.  I dug under the snow globe.   I still couldn’t get out.  My mom and dad were worried and wanted to call the police.

I had an idea! I took the DJ’s drumsticks and threw them into the glass . It didn’t work.  I sat down.  I thought  and thought and thought.  I had another idea.   I told the DJ the plan.   I could use my monster truck and crash into the glass.  I reeved up my monster and crashed into the snow globe.  I made sure I was wearing my seat belt.   The glass broke.   I fell out of the snow globe and returned to my normal size.  My mom and dad hugged me and told me how much they missed me and were worried that I would be trapped in the snow globe forever!   On the way home I told my parents about the adventures I had with the  DJ in the snow globe!

The End!

Easter means it is a time to be with family. You should think about all the grateful things that Jesus has done for us. Jesus was nailed on a cross for us. Jesus’ last words were,“Father forgive them.  They do not know what they have done wrong.”  Jesus was placed in a cave with a gigantic rock in front of the cave. Jesus knew that he was going to die that week. Jesus gave to his friends a piece of bread and some wine.  Jesus explained to his friends that the wine was his blood and that the bread was his body.

We celebrate Easter with a family gathering. We talk to each other about Easter and finding the chocolates that my mom and dad have hidden.  Sometimes I get to go to my aunt and uncle’s house on Easter. Easter is a big deal to my family. We like to go to a park on Easter. My dad makes his famous burgers and my mom makes her famous chicken noodle soup. All of my sisters and I have to wear the same dress. My oldest sister hides five toys around the house.  The girls get a Barbie and the boys get a toy truck. On Easter I love to get together with my family. I love to talk and hear funny skittytories. When it is Easter at my house we go to a park and eat lunch there. On Easter morning my mom, dad and my sister and I get the food ready for Easter lunch and supper. Easter 1

If I Lived in a Snow Globe

By: Paulina

One morning I opened my eyes and I looked out the window and saw a white blanket of snow  before my eyes. We lived in a small community and  it had a  lot of   snow.  Just then I got the most interesting idea ever. I ran down the stairs and got on my snow gear and ran outside.

I built a snowman.  I put on eyes, ears, mouth,  nose, and the best thing I put on her was a hat. I named her Mallory. After I finished building the snowman, I ran into the backyard and made a snowangel. A while later, I heard my mom calling me in for  breakfast. I went inside and as I sat down to eat, the doorbell rang. I wonder who it could be? Maybe it is my friend Elsa? I ran to get the door and when I opened it, I saw the snowman I made standing by the door.

My snowman had came to life! What a magical surprise. I told her to wait until I was done eating. When I was done eating, I rushed to my room and saw a shiny rock standing on my shelf. I took the rock and ran outside to show Mallory, my snowman. As Mallory touched the rock, “POOF,”  I was stuck  inside  the snow globe with my friend, Mallory on the mantle. I  could see my mom baking some fresh cookies. YUM!  I could smell the cookies  from inside the snow globe. I  ran and tried to grab the cookies, but I  just banged on the hard glass of the snow globe and hurt my head. OUCH!

How are we going to get out of here,” I asked Mallory. I don’t know. It’s all your fault,” exclaimed  Mallory. “Im sorry, but I didn’t know that it was a magic rock,’’ I sobbed. “How about we go and play a game suggested Mallory. “We won’t be able to get out anyway.” “Okay. What do you want to play.” I  asked? “How about  freeze tag.,” suggested Mallory.   Off  we went to play.

After a while, Mallory and I were tired from playing tag all afternoon. We went to have a snack, and after it was time to go to bed. Mallory and I went to sleep in our sleeping bag. In the middle of the night, Mallory and I heard scary noises and cuddled together and got very scared.  A few minutes later Mallory and I fell asleep. ZZZZZ!

The next morning, Mallory and I woke up early because we wanted to think of a way to get out of the snow globe. I have an idea I said to Mallory.” What is it, what is it,” shouted Mallory, Okay here is my plan.  You see that hammer in that little Coffee Shop, I’m going to ask one of the workers if we can borrow it. That’s my plan.” That’s the greatest idea of all,” exclaimed  Mallory. “Are you ready?” I asked Mallory.  “Yes!   I’m ready.   Now lets go,” exclaimed Mallory.

When the worker gave them the hammer, Mallory and myself were thankful.  They rushed off to the end of the snow globe. I started to hammer and hammer until it started to crack more and more until a huge piece of glass from the snow globe fell onto the mantle. BANG! “Wow!  that was loud ,” I exclaimed.  “ Now let’s quickly go and tell mom that we are safe again,” both Mallory and I exclaimed at the same time.

We jumped onto the mantle and I went to tell my mom what I and my new friend Mallory had discovered in the snow globe. When I came back into the kitchen, I realized that there in the middle of the kitchen was a big puddle of water.  I stopped and thought for a bit and tried to think why there was a big puddle of water on the floor. “Hmm,” I thought.   “Oh no my friend melted!  “Oh well,”  my mom said .  “You can make another one.”   “Okay,” I replied.  I rushed outside to build a new snowman.   After supper it was time for me to go  to sleep, I told my  parents that I would never touch the magic rock again.  No one ever did!

The End !

Easter means when Jesus went to heaven. The last Friday before Jesus went to heaven Jesus was nailed on the cross and 40 days later he went to heaven. Good Friday is a day of rest and quiet for German people. We cannot play with our phones or watch television. We read the Bible.  We read how Jesus was born and how he went to heaven. The mother of Jesus, named Mary, asked a man where they had taken Jesus, but then she noticed that the man was Jesus. Mary was frightened!

On Easter my mom and dad buy chocolate.  They put the chocolate in bags. If it is cold outside they hide it inside.  If it is not cold, they hide it outside. If we are in Mexico on Easter, we go to my grandma’s sisters’ house and we hide chocolate there. Sometimes I boil an egg and dye the egg. I peel the egg and I eat it. My family and I have a lovely dinner.        1739843-easter-chick-sitting-in-the-broken-easter-egg

If I Lived in a  Snow Globe

By: Peter

One snowy morning I woke up and I noticed that I lived in a snow globe because I touched my magic toy Santa sleigh.  When I touched the magic toy Santa sleigh I made a wish to go to Antarctica to live with the polar bears and the penguins. I was in my house, which was inside the snow globe, playing games, when I  heard a knock on my door.  It was my friend Polar the Bear.   I let him come in and play.

We had fun playing board games.  Polar the Bear’s friend Wobble the Penguin knocked on the door and joined us as well. We went outside to build an igloo.  We built the igloo until  we became thirsty. I asked my   friends “Do you want some hot chocolate?” They replied, “Sure we could use some to warm up. “When I returned with the hot chocolate they had already finished the igloo. I was proud of them, so I gave them extra hot chocolate.  They wanted some doughnuts to go with the hot chocolate.  I told them I would be right back with the doughnuts.  They exclaimed, “Don’t worry!  We are not going to leave!”  When I came back they were ready for their doughnuts. We ate our  doughnuts and drank our hot chocolate

Wobble exclaimed, I should  give you some swimming lessons!  “Sure,” I exclaimed.  First he taught me how to dive.  He taught me how to catch fish. I asked him, “Will you show me how to build a house to live n?” “Of course,” Wobble replied. “How do we begin building the house?” I asked.    “First we dig a hole that is a little bigger than you.  Then we look for long twigs. We use the  twigs  to cover the hole.”  We covered the hole with the twigs we found in the woods. We  went into the house. “It is dark in here.  I will stay in my regular house because it is warmer,” I thought to myself.

Polar the Bear taught me how to take care of his baby polar bear sister. He replied her name is,  ‘‘Lily.”  Sometimes Lily is tired and she needs to nap. I enjoyed being friends with Polar  the Bear and Wobble the Penguin, but I needed to get out of the snow globe.  I went to my garage and got a chain saw.  I tried to  saw the globe down.  I couldn’t find the start button on the saw.  I went back to my garage  and got an ax.  I hit the glass until it started cracking. I got my saw and started sawing a gigantic hole. Finally the hole was large enough and I climbed of the snow globe.

                                                                                                                                         The End.
